Landlord Roundtable
Landlord RoundtableHADC is looking for feedback from our property owners. We are looking to develop quarterly property owner roundtable meetings with different property owners so we can see what we need to improve upon. If any property owner is interested in being part of the inaugural property owner round table, please contact OwnerInfo@dekalbhousing.org. We look forward to hearing from you!
Opening the HCV Waiting List
Opening the HCV Waiting ListThe Housing Authority of DeKalb County (HADC) will open both our Tenant-Based Housing Choice Voucher and Project-Based Voucher Waiting Lists for a pre-application period from April 28, 2015 through April 30, 2015. Pre-applications will be accepted ONLINE ONLY at www.dekalbhousing.org. Paper applications will not be available nor accepted at any HADC office or property.

Following the closing of the Waiting List pre-application period, households will be chosen for each of the Tenant-Based and Project-Based Waiting Lists through the use of a computerized, random selection process known as a lottery. This method gives all households an equal chance of being selected regardless of when they apply during the Waiting List Opening.

For more information about the Waiting List Opening, an Instructional Video and Frequently Asked Questions are available on the HADC website. A list of Internet Access Sites is also available on our website.

Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH)
Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH)

At the Housing Authority of DeKalb County (HADC) -- We House Heroes!

The HADC proudly administers 644 vouchers for the sole purpose of providing housing assistance to eligible homeless veterans and their families. We have the largest HUD-VASH Program in the entire State of Georgia.

The VASH Program is a creative partnership between HUD and the Veteran's Administration. Case Managers at the VA refer eligible veterans to HADC and we provide them with rental assistance through the VASH Voucher. The VA staff provides outreach, clinical care, and ongoing case management services. Rigorous evaluation of this program indicates that this approach significantly reduces homelessness for veterans.

If you have a one or two-bedroom unit that is available for rent and would like to House a Hero, we invite you to contact Paul Posey or Victoria Hilliard from the VA, who will assist the vets in their housing search.

We appreciate your continued participation and look forward to working with you!
