The Housing Authority of DeKalb County (HADC) will open the Project-Based Voucher (PBV) Waiting List for new applicants to Mills Creek Crossing on Friday, December 6, 2024. Eligible individuals must apply by completing an ONLINE pre-application at www.dekalbhousing.org during the Waiting List open application period.
The Housing Authority of DeKalb County (HADC) will open the Project-Based Voucher (PBV) Waiting Lists for new applicants to Veranda at assembly(Age 55+) on Friday, April 19, 2024 and the Waiting List for Hearthside Brookleigh (Age 62+) will open on Friday, May 17, 2024.
The ARG-Kensingtong Development will feature the Kensington Pointe Senior Residences, Kensington Place Family Community, with office and parking.
PBV Waiting Lists for Phoenix Station (Family) and Columbia Senior Residences at Forrest Hills (Elderly age 62+) to Open December 1, 2023.
The Housing Authority of DeKalb County (HADC) will open the “Near-Elderly” (55+) Project-Based Voucher (PBV) Waiting List for new applicants to Retreat at Spring Hill on Friday, June 2, 2023. Eligible individuals must apply by completing an ONLINE pre-application at www.dekalbhousing.org during the Waiting List open application period.
HADC affiliate, Resident Services Corporation (RSC), will be awarding $5,000 scholarships for both traditional and nontraditional students receiving rental assistance through Housing Authority of DeKalb County’s Housing Choice Voucher Program.
The RSC Scholarship application deadline is April 1, 2023. Eligibility and requirements are outlined on the application.

The Housing Authority of DeKalb County (HADC) and the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) celebrated the Grand Opening of Starnes Senior Residences on Thursday, November 4, 2021. The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) served as the lead co-developer on this project, alongside the Beverly J. Searles Foundation.
Eligible low-income households can enroll in the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program to receive a temporary monthly discount on monthly broadband bills from participating providers. The Emergency Broadband Benefit is an FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To prevent the potential spread of COVID-19 and for the safety of our staff and clients, the Housing Authority and its affiliated companies are taking extra precautions to keep our facilities sanitized. Sterling at Candler Village celebrated held a Grand Opening celebration on February 6, 2020. Part of a master plan for South DeKalb County, the $25.1 million project to provide affordable housing for seniors represents more than a dozen years of planning and construction activities. The project broke ground in June 2017. The 170 unit living senior community (age 62+)
A $10 million dollar major renovation project of the 170 units at Reserve at Hairston Lake community is underway to ensure that our residents can age in place comfortably within our community. The major renovation project includes funding from 4% tax exempt bonds issued by the HADC,
HADC is excited to announce it will open its Housing Choice Voucher Program Tenant-Based (commonly known as Section 8) Waiting List. This program provides rental assistance to eligible low-income families, seniors and persons with disabilities. In order to encourage academic excellence and community responsibility, the Housing Authority of DeKalb County (HADC) and its affiliate, Resident Services Corporation awarded two $2,500 scholarships to two nontraditional students currently receiving rental assistance from HADC.
